Description:

Neil Young, a lone legend in the rock scene and a charismatic figure who continues to work tirelessly, has released his third album this year, following the live album "Live at the Cellar Door" released in January 2014 and "A Letter Home" in June. A LETTER HOME" was released in June. This is the first purely original studio album since 2012's "PSYCHEDELIC PILL", and is titled "STORYTONE". Never stopping at the same place, he is always challenging himself to try new things, and with this album, he has once again set a new new benchmark! The new approach taken on this album was: Neil recorded a song in a solo setting, and then recorded a live version of the same song, this time with a 92-unit orchestra and a big band, to put it in a new light. The resulting album is a deeply moving work, and the version recorded with the orchestra and big band is included on the standard version of the single-disc set. The first single released from the album is "Who's Gonna Stand Up?The song was originally performed by Neil at a UK show with Crazy Horse in the summer of 2014, and he recently performed a solo acoustic version at Farm Aid. The song, which calls for an end to our dependence on fossil fuels in order to preserve the earth's not-so-strong, if fragile, eco-system for future generations, was a big hit with the Farm Aid crowd. In addition to "Who's Gonna Stand Up?", the album opens with the bittersweet "Plastic Flowers", the bluesy "I Want To Drive My Car", the poignant "Tumbleweed", and the heartbreaking "When I Watch You Sleeping". Each of the songs on the album, including the haunting "When I Watch You Sleeping" and the bluesy "Plastic Flowers," the bluesy "I Want To Drive My Car," the poignant "Tumbleweed," and the heartbreaking "When I Watch You Sleeping," will give listeners a different sound and feeling in accordance with the theme of each song. The album is produced by "The Volume Dealers" consisting of Neil Young and Nico Borras. Listen to this ambitious work by Neil Young, a lone legend in the rock scene and a charismatic figure who continues to work energetically to this day to create a new narrative and a new innovation.
