Description:
The fourth Sony Classical work by the gifted Christian Järvi, second son of Nämé Järvi and brother of Parvo Järvi, is Tchaikovsky's secret piece "The Snow Maiden". The Snow Girl" was written for a play by Ostrovsky. The theme is the tragic love of the "Snow Girl" who lives in the legendary kingdom of Berenjei. It consists of 19 pieces of music, including an overture, interlude music, chorus, dance pieces, and songs. The music is full of fantasy and was written when Tchaikovsky was still a young man at the age of 33. His father Neme, a lover of secret music, recorded it with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in 1994, and it was regarded as the standard for this work.
