The Villagers, Ireland's nationally popular folk-rock band beloved by New Americana fans such as Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes, release their latest album! Led by Conor O'Brien, Irish folk-rock band The Villagers have released their fifth studio album "Fever Dreams" on the Domino label. Winner of the Ivor Novello Award, a prestigious British music award that has been won by Radiohead, Oasis, and others, the band's talent as songwriters has been recognized as the best of its generation, and their beautiful melodies, loved by New Americana fans such as Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes, are gaining popularity. In Japan, he was hosted by Kururi in 2013. In Japan, they were invited to the 2013 Kyoto Music Expo, a music festival hosted by Kururi, and have attracted many fans. The first song, "The First Day," was composed based on inspiration from an appearance at the "Another Love Story" festival in Meads, Leinster, Ireland. The production of the song unfolds like a magnificent film music expressing the joy of connection between people. All of the songs on this album, "Fever Dreams," have both a meltingly mysterious form and a magical melancholy, and one can sense a clear intention in their mysteriousness. One can certainly sense O'Brien's deepened auteurism in them. The film is a collection of works by writer Flann O'Brien, activist Audre Lorde, filmmaker David Lynch, and painter L. S. Laurie, as well as Piero Umiliani and Alessandro Alessandroni's Written and composed over a period of two years, the songs were recorded in studio sessions with a full band in late 2019 and early 2020.During the long, slow days of the pandemic, O'Brien refined them in his small home studio in Dublin and later completed them with David Wrench, who had worked with Frank Ocean, The xx, and FKA Twigs, as mixer.
