Schlüter is an acclaimed Bach pianist. The female pianist Anne-Helena Schlüter, who studied with Ugolski and Glemser, is a renowned scholar of Bach's works and an admirer of J.S. Bach's works. In the first volume of the Mean Square Clavier Works (HC16027), she gave us a lofty Bach performance. This highly anticipated sequel features a chromatic fantasy, fugue, and capriccio "On the Departure of My Beloved Brother," as well as Busoni's "I Call upon Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ," Hess's "O Lord, Joy of Man's Desiring," and Petri's "The Sheep Graze in Peace," among others. The piano touch and use of the pedal are exquisite, with interpretations unique to the modern piano. Schlüter's mother, a piano teacher, and father, pianist Karl-Heinz Schlüter, taught him to play the piano from the age of three, and he first performed on stage at the age of four. He studied with Ugolski, Gremser, and other great teachers, and under their influence, he refined his own music, winning numerous competitions and writing his doctoral dissertation on Bach's "Technique des Fugues".
