The Number Twelve Looks Like You

Description:

Mass-core legends THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU are back after more than 10 years of silence...! They are now releasing their first new album in about 10 years, since 2009's "Worse Than Alone". Three years ago, on May 18, 2016, the band posted an image on their Facebook page that appeared to be a flyer announcing a show. The image, which featured a new band logo, a short set list of songs from previous albums, the date May 19, 2016, and the name of Kingston, New York, caused fans who had been waiting for their return to talk about "a secret show to announce the band's return. The image, with the name of Kingston, New York, on the date of May 19, 1975, was the talk of the town. As expected, the band played their first show since January 2010 on May 19, 2016, where frontman Jess Korman announced the band's return and said, "There will be more news, maybe. This was followed by a tour in 2016 for the Dillenger Escape Plan and then in 2017 for the 12th anniversary of their second album, NUCLEAR, SAD. NUCLEAR, which is considered one of their best-known albums. And now, in 2019 - the long-awaited new album is ready. The new album, "WILD GODS," according to guitarist Alex Pareja, reflects the wide range of musical styles of each member, including world music, classical, jazz, and minimalist. As for the lyrics, frontman Jess Korman says, "In the past, the lyrics were based on things that actually happened to me. They were about what I experienced and what I saw and what I wanted to communicate. After we broke up, I kept thinking about it. If I ever work with THE NUMBER TWELVE again, I will tell their story for other people. The band ended abruptly, and we needed time away from each other. The band ended abruptly because we needed time away from each other. Years later, Alex and I realized we hadn't written the songs we needed to write - we hadn't made a new sound, a wild album that would take us out of our comfort zone and into a new dimension. Jess Korman explains the band's resurgence: "We've gained a great fan base. We've got a great fan base," Jess Korman explains of the band's resurgence. So we thought we should give it another shot before we get too old.The dark, aggressive, erratic, chaotic, yet beautiful flood of roaring sounds brings a quiet catharsis to the listener. As Jess says, "WILD GODS" is the masterpiece of THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU.
