Description:
Formed in Catalonia, Spain in 1973 by Josep Maria Trotta (key) and Lluis Escarra (g), the band played live often with TRIANA, ICEBERG, ATILA, ASFALTO, ORQUESTRA MIRASOL and other prominent bands of 70s Spanish progressive rock. The band recorded a demo for an album in the studio in 1979, but went on hiatus without having a chance to release any new material. The demo recordings have been newly remastered and released in '24 by 5 Lunas Producciones, a label that has unearthed a number of important and rare Spanish progressive rock albums in recent years. The album contains 9 tracks including "Pinotxo", which was released prior to the release of this album on the fourth compilation series "PROGRESSIVE ROCK SIDE OF FIVE MOONS" on the same label, as well as a bonus track "Recreacio", which was recorded during the reunion in the 90s. Recreacio" recorded during the reunion in the 1990s.The demo is an instrumental symphonic rock work in the vein of CAMEL/GOTIC by a four-piece band consisting of keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums, and it is hard to believe that it was recorded in 1979. The sound, which retains a strong sense of the fantasy and romanticism of pre to mid 70's British rock, is truly a masterpiece. The album is a work that takes you to an illusory fantasy with an elegant ensemble featuring a guitar solo that sings with great sustain and foggy synths, along with occasional hard moments. It is surprising that a work of this level of quality, which is as good as any first-class band, has remained buried in history for so long!
