The disc, entitled "The Grand Tour - A Baroque Road Trip," is a car tour of the music of the Baroque era, including J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, and Telemann, performed by the performers themselves. The booklet includes photos of the actual ride, making this a humorous and stylish concept! He studied conducting under Hans Vonk at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.He has been active as a conductor and viola player in the Netherlands since 1996, and is currently engaged in a wide range of performance activities in Europe and abroad, mainly as the music director of the New Netherlands Academy Chamber Orchestra, which was founded in 2002. In this performance, Murphy's leadership is evident in the clear and colorful music. The Pentatone label has released discs of the orchestra, including symphonies by Graf and Zappa (PTC 5186365) and concerto concertos by Corelli (PTC 5186031). King International
