During his first visit to the United States in early 1971, David Bowie made friends with Andy Warhol and Lou Reed (Velvet Underground) and was baptized into the American counterculture. After being baptized into the American counterculture, David Bowie switched producers from Tony Visconti to Ken Scott and further developed his versatile musicality, achieving a #3 hit in the UK with this masterpiece 4th album.
