Joey Spampinato, former bassist of NRBQ, is a true musician's musician who has demonstrated his versatility by backing up Keith Richards. This album is a charity project for him and the Sweet Relief Foundation, which is currently battling cancer! An incredible lineup of musicians, including a special unit of Ben Harper and Keith Richards, as well as Los Lobos, Bonnie Raitt, Peter Keyes, Steve Faubert, Minus 5, and others, have gathered to play Joey's (NRNQ) music. All unreleased songs including new recordings. ★Joey Spanpinato Joey Spanpinato was born in 1948 in Bronx, New York. 1967, Joey joined NRBQ (New Rhythm and Blues Quartet), which was formed in 1965, The band has consistently released dozens of albums. Joey has also participated in the songwriting of many songs as a bassist and vocalist.His versatility and talent has earned him the trust of many musicians, and in 1986, he was featured in the Chuck Berry documentary film "Hale! Hale! Rock 'n' Roll," and was invited to join Keith Richards' band and replace Bill Wyman in the Rolling Stones after his departure. His songs have been covered by Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos, and many other artists. 2004, original member Terry Adams was diagnosed with cancer and NRBQ went on hiatus. Joey and his brother Johnny formed the Spampinato Brothers in 2008, who released the album "Pie in the Sky" in 2011 and toured, but Joey was diagnosed with cancer in 2015.
