90s UK rock legends Spiritualized. Its Jason Pearce and his partner John Coxon prepared a new song for William Eggleston's film STRANDED IN CANTON in 2015 and performed it at a London movie theater. It was released as a surprise piece that could only be heard by those who came to the theater, and the recording was sealed for about 10 years. Now, however, "MUSIC FOR WILLIAM EGGLESTON'S STRANDED IN CANTON" has been released for the first time on FAT POSSUM! The sound of Jason Pearce and John Coxsone's "STRANDED IN CANTON" matches the warm and fuzzy soundscape of the film. Indie listeners will be moved to tears by the combination of the dreamy guitars drifting through the air on "Mother's Milk," which was released as the lead track, and life in 1974, which was used as part of the film. The spiriturized flavor may well be concentrated in a good way in this soundtrack!
