Tsaharias' fresh and powerful Schumann: Piano Concerto (940 10336), in which period instruments are also used, is original and original, but with an emphasis on natural beauty. This is his second appearance as a full-fledged conductor following his previous work "Schumann: Symphonies Nos. 2 & 4" (940 17456), in which he tackled the "Complete Schumann Symphonies" as a full-fledged conductor! After Beethoven and Schubert wrote their last symphonies, there was a blank of more than 10 years until Schumann's first symphony. During that time, the focus of compositional methods shifted from Classical to Romanticism, and music that bared emotion came to be created. Schumann's symphonies are said to be the direct result of his mental anxieties, but Tsaharias considers them "daring inventions.Creative and tension-laden, Tsaharias approaches these pieces with a romantic aesthetic and a combination of natural and valved horns that allow for a unique tone quality in his recordings. The First & Third symphonies in particular, Schumann's first and last symphonies, are full of fresh and powerful sensations that reflect his bright life.
