Rival Sons is a four-piece band from Los Angeles that has garnered much attention as a legitimate heir to 70's rock. Rival Sons, with their bluesy, psychedelic, West Coast vintage hard rock sound, and Dave Cobb, who continues to explore the vintage rock sound rooted in the roots of American music, country and Americana. The chemistry that emerges between them creates a new trend in American hard rock orthodoxy! The band's seventh album, "Darkfighter," is now available on CD and analog! blues, while inheriting the classic rock sound of the 60's and 70's. Their new album "DARKFIGHTER" is their seventh album in total. The album is produced by longtime collaborator and multiple Grammy award-winning producer Dave Cobb.The first single from the album, "Nobody Wants to Die" is the first new song since their last album "FERAL ROOTS" released in January 2019, almost 3 years and 9 months ago, and the Music Video was directed by Eli Sokhn. Vocalist Jay Buchanan says the following about the new song "Nobody Wants to Die": "We've been working with Damocles for a while now, and we've been working with them for a while now. We live our lives knowing that the sword of Damocles is hanging on our heads by a thread (a metaphor for the dangers of living in abundance). I'm fully aware that my existence is not eternal, but I can't think about that all the time, or my life would be a mess. I used to work as a service advisor at a morgue a few years ago. I drove a hearse and opened the doors, sometimes attending three funerals in one day. Sometimes it would be more than capacity, and sometimes it would be just me and the priest at the burial. It didn't matter who we were. The great equalizer is coming. That's what the music made me think." (1/2)
