Description:

Norway's up-and-coming chamber orchestra Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante! Ensemble Alegria is a chamber orchestra from Oslo, founded in 2007 by students of the Norwegian National Academy of Music, which has performed at the Bergen International Festival, Hardanger Music Festival, Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Fjord Classics and Ultima Contemporary Music Festival. She has performed at the Maria Angelica Carlsen (1988-) has been the leader and artistic director of the ensemble since its founding, and made her album debut in 2012 with "Ensemble Alegria" (LAWO ClassicsLWC1044), featuring Grieg's "From the Time of Holbea" and music by Kvandahl.His 2015 release, Volt 22 (LWC1082), with works by Bartók's "Divertimento", Haydn, and Shostakovich, was nominated for the "Spelman Prize" (Norwegian Grammy Award).
