Handel's Chamber Cantatas from his Italian PeriodHandel traveled around Italy from around 1706 to 1710, composing his first cantata, "The Triumph of Time and Enlightenment," and performing his first Italian opera, "Rodrigo. She studied at the Norwegian National College of Music and has worked as a soloist and ensemble singer in the fields of baroque, classical, and contemporary music.Mezzo-soprano Marianne Beate Schelan (1975-) is regarded as one of the leading singers in Scandinavia for her clear voice, deep interpretation, and expressiveness, and is known for her participation in concerts of the Bach Collegium Japan. Christian Schoss (1980-), bass, has been remarkably active in recent years.
