Haydn's originality is portrayed by the Grieg Trio The Grieg Trio was formed in 1987. Vebjörn Anvik on piano, Solve Siegerlang on violin, and Ellen Margrethe Fleschow on cello. The founding members have performed in concerts all over the world and have participated in festivals in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, England, Helsinki and Kuhmo, Bergen and Oslo. They have also been active in recording, and their career-defining series, "Beethoven+" (PSC1165, PSC1166, PSC1167), which includes Beethoven's works with music by contemporary composers, has been performed in concert at the Wigmore Hall in London and at the Berlin Wigmore Hall in London and the Konzerthaus in Berlin. Haydn's "late" piano trios are among their repertoire, along with works by Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Dvořák, Ravel and Debussy. The Grieg Trio will perform four pieces selected from a group of works that clearly show Haydn's originality. King International
