This disc features a profound program of Brahms concertos, Frank's symphonic poems with solo piano, and Weber's small concertos. Pierce's piano is a magnificent combination of strong keys and a delicate touch. Brahms' Second Concerto, a symphony with solo piano, was played with overwhelming passion and was well worth listening to.
