Description:

Iran was thought to be an undeveloped country for a long time due to the suppression of pop music and the banning of records in the wake of the Iranian Revolution of 1979, and the emigration of artists who were forced to leave their hometowns. The Persian pop music of the 1970s has been revived in the form of frontier disco and funk, and this collection includes the soundtracks of the 1960s, which flourished in the pro-U.S.-British context of the Pahlavi dynasty before the Iranian Revolution. As in Japan and other Asian countries, this collection is filled with the glimmer of the golden age of psychedelic/garage/freak beats, starting with SHADOWS and VENTURES and including BEATLES, STONES, KINKS, and other Western-invasion influences. THE FLOWERS "MEEKSHI MANOO", where the Middle Eastern scale that should have influenced psychedelia flourished in the first place, LITTLES "4X8 JADEED", with its coolest slapstick beats, which are all out of place from a Western educational standpoint, and "THE HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN" inspired GROUP TAKHALA LA "DOKHTAR E DARYA", which was also present in Iran. OF THE RISING SUN" inspired GROUP TAKHALA LA "DOKHTAR E DARYA", OJOOBE HA "SARTEGAR NAKESH CHEN" with its melancholy BO beat, and "SARTEGAR NAKESH CHEN" led by SHAHRAM SHABPAREH, a great singer still active in the front line. INDIAN REBELS" by THE REBELS, a pioneer Persian garage band led by the great singer SHAHRAM SHABPAREH, which was called "Iran's answer to ROLLING STONES"; "AKHM NAKON" by KOUROSH YAGHMAEI, Iran's representative psychedelic legend who was reevaluated after being discovered on his own, and "AKHM NAKON", a fuzz-filled album by KOUROSH YAGHMAEI, which is a representative Iranian psychedelic legend. AKHM NAKON" by AKHM NAKON,The "RESPECT" cover of the R&B classic "ARETHA" by GOOGOOSH, a.k.a. FAEGHEH ATASHIN, the national actress/diva well-known to frontier fans, the smoky whistling of GOLDEN RING, which doesn't take advantage of the red band's SHOCKING BLUE-like composition, the surf instrumental "SHEKAR DAR KOHESTAN," etc., etc. The 17 tracks include a slamming beat, the occasional Middle Eastern scale, and many songs that escape the A-melody/B-melody/chorus cliché.
