Nickelback: This rock band was formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Canada by Chad Kroeger (Lead Vo, G), Mike Kroeger (B), and Ryan Peake (G, Key, Back Vo). The drummer has changed several times, and Daniel Adair, who was in Doors Down, joined the band in 2005. Releases & Achievements: Released the EP "Hesher" (1997) and the album "Curb" (1998) on local independent labels, the band quickly gained recognition through active airplay on local radio stations and energetic live performances, and quickly became one of the most popular bands in Canada. The band's popularity continued to grow and grow. By 2011, the band had released six albums. By 2011, the band had sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, making it the 11th best-selling album of all time. They are "the 11th biggest-selling music act in the world" and have solidified their position as the second biggest-selling international act of the 21st century in the United States, behind only The Beatles. To date, they have been nominated for Grammy Awards nine times.He has received three American Music Awards and one each from the World Music Awards and the People's Choice Awards. He has also won 12 Juno Awards (Canada's equivalent of the Grammy Awards) and was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.
