Description:
A new work by German pianist Florian Weber. Conceived for the unique instrumentation of brass ensemble and piano, it is a hybrid work in multiple musical languages, seamlessly blending the harmonic and the oblique. The German pianist is joined by four euphoniums, a trombone quartet, flutist Anna-Lena Schnabel, and Michel Godard on the rarely used brass "serpent," in a work that blurs the line between the end of improvisation and the beginning of composition. Symphonic passages intersect with complex counterpoint, pastoral nuances are contrasted with contemporary textures, and each voice in the ensemble plays an independent role in the overall composition. The project was recorded in July 2023 in Sendesar Bremen, in close collaboration with Manfred Eicher, who produced the album.〈パーソネル〉Florian Weber(p) Anna-Lena Schnabel(fl) Michel Godard(tuba, serpent)Quatuor Opus 333:Corentin Morvan,Jean Daufresne, Patrick Wibart, Vianney Desplantes(euphonium)Lisa Stick(tb) Sonja Beeh(tb) Victoria Rose Davey:(tb)Maxine Troglauer(b-tb)
