World-renowned actor Damian Lewis makes his debut as a singer-songwriter on Decca. This work, "Mission Creep," is composed of roots, rock, and jazz-tinged songs that reveal a deep love of music and a profound desire to communicate. Lewis says, "I suddenly have a lot of things I want to say. People will judge whether that is good or bad, but for me it was completely natural". The album's origins stem from the fact that, after finishing school, Lewis switched from the strict routine that had dominated his life for the past 10 years to something completely unstructured. He took his guitar and busked around the European continent. The experience stayed with Damian and is reflected in his debut album. After his acting career took off, Lewis continued to play at rap parties as part of a scratch band, but it was during Lockdown that the idea of actually making a record came to him. Freed from his busy acting career, Lewis immersed himself in playing and writing songs, and the ideas kept coming.Damian felt like he was back in the days when he played guitar every day, but with the added maturity and experience that a tumultuous life has brought. He comments, "I wanted the album to feel like a journey from busking to here and now." 180g weight vinyl LP on Opak blue-colored vinyl.
