A collection of works by Polish contemporary composer Krzysztof Wołek! This is a collection of concerto works by Polish composer, improviser, and multimedia installation artist Krzysztof Wołek (1976-). Wołek studied at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the Netherlands, and received his doctorate in composition and computer music from the University of Chicago. He currently teaches composition at the University of Louisville and directs the university's computer music studio. The three works in this collection were conceived as part of a larger whole, the "Meta Concerto," but each could also be treated autonomously on its own. In these works, he takes a unique stance of engaging in a dialogue with tradition while subverting and disrupting expectations arising from his choice of genres. Tokyo M-Plus
