Description:

Kyle Eastwood's latest project is a symphonic jazz arrangement of the main theme from "Dirty Harry," "Gran Torino," and "Letters from Iwo Jima," featuring the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, as a tribute to his father, Clint Eastwood. Eastwood Symphonic is a project led by actor/musician Kyle Eastwood, son of film director Clint Eastwood. About four years after his last CD, "Cinematic," Eastwood Symphonic released a CD of symphonic jazz arrangements of film music with a focus on his father, Clint Eastwood. Kyle learned jazz from his father Clint, who encouraged him to pursue a career as a professional jazzman. Since his debut as a leader on Sony's 1998 release "From There To Here," he has established a solid foothold in the jazz world, playing fresh, modern music reminiscent of the great jazzmen of the 50s and 60s.He has also created soundtracks for such important films as "Million Dollar Baby," "Gran Torino," "Mystic River," "Invictus," and "Letters from Iwo Jima." Kyle Eastwood has launched a very ambitious project to focus on actor/director Clint Eastwood's best-known films and reinterpret their theme songs in a jazz way, the first of which was his last release, "Cinematic," in 2019. In it, he imbued the now-classic soundtracks of Clint's films with creativity, sensitivity, and joy, making them a rewarding listening experience. As with the previous release, this new version is a reinterpretation and reconstruction of Clint's work from his son's point of view. While continuing to use the members of the quintet, the new album is even more dynamic than the previous one, with Grammy award-winning conductor Gust Waltzing as co-producer and editor, and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra as orchestra.
