Description:

Weinberg (1919-1996) was born in Poland, and his works have recently been released one after another. Although his works have a strong impression of being rather heavy and bitter, the burst of energy in his "Dance Symphony" from 1973 is astonishing. This piece was originally arranged from his 1958 ballet "Shirakiku" (the story of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima), and the first piece is based on the prelude to the third act. The first piece is based on the prelude to the third act. Influences of Stravinsky and Ravel can be seen, but will it ever be performed as a ballet? In his later years, he wrote the piano score of "Symphony No. 22" while suffering from a broken hip bone and illness, but he ran out of energy at that point and left it as an unfinished work.In this recording, Kirill Umansky has studied Weinberg's work in depth, read the sound Weinberg would have wanted from this score, and presented it as a perfect work. This is a delight for many Weinberg lovers. Naxos Japan
