Description:
Seefeel, a pioneering electro-acoustic band that had a major influence on the birth of post-rock, releases their first new album in 13 years on WARP RECORDS! Seefeel formed in London in 1992, creating a shoegaze sound akin to My Bloody Valentine or Spacemen 3. Aphex Twin, who professed to be a big fan of the band at the time, provided a remix of their early track "Time To Find Me," and the band gradually gravitated toward the world of electronic music. Their unique style of fusing elements of indie rock and ambient techno has been the talk of the town, and they are known as one of the bands given the "post-rock" moniker by the British music magazine "The Wire". Now, after a 13-year hiatus, the band is releasing their latest album, "Everything Squared," on Warp Records. This six-song mini-album is a modern evolution of their trademark sound.Mark Clifford and Sarah Peacock are the two main composers and performers, with Shigel Ishihara (DJ Scotch Egg), who was a member of the band during the release of their 2010 album "Seefeel," also contributing on bass on two tracks. Mastering was done by Stefan Betke aka Pole, a leading minimal dub engineer, and design by Ian Anderson of The Designers Republic.
