High Score at Pitchfork in the U.S.! Rumored girl SSW, Waxahatchee's new album! Waxahatchee's new album "Air" won Best New Track at Pitchfork! Waxahatchee, the solo project of Katie Crutchfield, a girl singer/songwriter from Alabama, USA, has released her third album in two years from , which has produced The Cribs and Best Coast. Her last album, "Cerulean Salt," received a high score of 8.4 points and Best New Music on the US music website Pitchfork, attracting attention from around the world. Produced at Katy's home in Long Island, New York, the album was produced by Kyle Gilbride of her twin sister's band, Sweryn. The band also includes bassist Keith Spencer. The drum parts were recorded in the gymnasium of a local elementary school. The phrases are reminiscent of Cat Power and Elliott Smith, and the distortion guitar tracks are in the full throttle of 90's alternative music.
