Soundtrack for "Bolero," a biographical film about composer Ravel that also features Alexandre Tharaud. The year 2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Maurice Ravel. The French film director Anne Fontaine's biopic of Ravel, "Bolero," will be released overseas in the spring of 2024. (Release in Japan is undecided). The music used in the film is not only Ravel's "Bolero," but also "Pavane for a Dead Princess" and "Morning Song of a Clown," played by Alexandre Tharaud, and a piano piece composed by Tharaud. Classical music is the main focus, including Ravel's orchestral works conducted by Cluytens and Chopin's works by Lipatti and François. Alexandre Tharaud appears in the film as Pierre Lalo, a critic of the time who was highly critical of Ravel's work. He also appears as the "hand part" of Ravel's performance.
