Description:

A collection of Mozart and R. Strauss songs sung with dignity by the transparent, clear and lovely voice of the French diva Sabine Devielle Sabine Devielle is a French diva with a clear and lovely voice and a perfect coloratura. In her early career, she was active as a baroque opera singer (she herself loved to perform), and in fact her repertoire is very wide, especially Ravel and Debussy, which are her must-haves. This album is a collection of songs by Mozart and Richard Strauss, exquisitely arranged to create an imaginary world of the two composers' works. Her singing is always gentle and beautiful, and she sings with a dignity reminiscent of Lucia Popp, a famous singer of the past, in such lyrical songs as "Evening Thoughts," "All Souls," and "Tomorrow," in which Vilde Flang plays the violin like a sobbing voice. Of course, she showed her full range in such technical songs as "Amor", making full use of her shimmering coloratura. The slightly mischievous imitation of a cuckoo's voice in "A Fluttering Heart" is also very typical of Douvier's style. Mathieu Poldova is a highly acclaimed pianist and singing teacher who has worked with many singers, including Michael Spires and Marina Rebeka. He has been giving recitals with Duvielle since 2019 and has received favorable reviews at Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein Vienna, Wigmore Hall, and other venues.
