David Bowie is a legend who has always been ahead of his time and continues to pioneer the times. After unraveling his roots with his last album "PINUPS," Bowie parted ways with the glam rock he had been known for with "DIAMOND DOGS," a cutting-edge masterpiece released in 1974 and inspired by George Orwell's novel. This is a limited picture disc analog edition featuring the striking cover image of DIAMOND DOGS. In July 1973, David Bowie, a legend who always pioneered the cutting edge of the times, sealed off his Ziggy Stardust persona and released "PINUPS," an album of covers of songs that had influenced him, in October of the same year, resetting his activities for the better, In February 1974, he released the single "Rebel Rebel," which reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the masterpiece "DIAMOND DOGS", their eighth album in total, which was released in 1974. DIAMOND DOGS" was actually released on May 24, 1974. Exactly 50 years later, on May 24, 2024, two special limited edition analog vinyls will be released: a picture analog with a striking illustration on the cover and a half-speed master analog. The sound sources on these analog discs were cut using a customized late Neumann VMS80 lathe, using the original master tapes restored to 192 kHz, with no processing added during the transfer.
