As a commemorative disc, CD 17 is thorough enough to include the first edition of the Organ Sonata No. 1, 3rd movement Passacaglia, the first edition of the Chorale Fantasy "The Beauty of the Dawn Star," Op. 40, and the first edition of the Fantasy and Fugue in D minor, Op. 135b. Roberto Marini, who is well known for his Reger performances, plays the Bruckner organ, Rieger organ, Steinmeyer organ, Sauer organ, Link organ, and Kuhn organ. All were recorded by the same engineer, making it easy to compare the individual characteristics of each organ.
