James Johnston, an English virtuoso who was for many years a member of the Gabrieli Consort & Players led by Paul MacLeish and played keyboard in Ashley Solomon's Florilegium, plays 16th- to 18th-century historical organ in J.S. Bach's Organ Works. In Volume 3, he plays the Leipzig and Schüpler Chorales and Canonical Variations on the Christoph Troitmann organ, which was built in 1737 in the Stiftkirche in Grauhof, Germany.
