PEACE AND LOVE", a historical masterpiece released in 1974 by DADAWHA, an alias of RAS MICHAEL, a representative of "Nyahbinghi", the music played mainly on drums in Rastafarian religious ceremonies, and "LLOYD CHARMERS", a producer in charge of this album and known for many excellent soulful reggae works. DOCTER BIRD is proud to present a 2CD set of LLOYD CHARMERS' dub masterpieces and rarities, a complete departure from LLOYD CHARMERS' many soulful releases and all of his innovative and imaginative approach to music production. The original on DISC 1 is a far cry from the gentle, pastoral Nyabinghi that is commonly imagined, with a mood of disquieting, psychedelic rock-like overall foggy soundscape that drifts throughout the entire piece. The progressive guitar sound is like a free jazz improvisation.And the overwhelming Nyahbinghi drums by SONS OF NEGUS led by RAS MICHAEL.... This album is recognized by all as a historical masterpiece of psychedelic nyahbinghi.
