Talking Heads was an intellectual band during the punk movement in New York City in the late 1970s, and grew in size and success with each album release. In 1980, with the release of their album "Remain In Light", produced by Brian Eno, the band started their first world tour, the "Remain In Light Tour". The tour included 53 shows in 9 countries, including Japan. The December 11 concert in the Netherlands was recorded and broadcast for a radio program to promote the tour in Europe. This live album is based on the recordings from this broadcast and includes the complete concert, including two encores, except for the fade-in at the beginning. The ensemble introduced African rhythms, tricky guitar playing by Adrian Breaux, who later joined King Crimson, and colorful percussion.This is a great archive of the Talking Heads' huge leap forward in live sound!
