Genesis, one of the biggest selling bands in the progressive rock scene, has been on hiatus since their 2007 "Turn It On Again Tour" due to the after effects of Phil Collins' illness. However, it was announced that the band will not be performing any more, starting with a show in Birmingham on September 20, 2021, the first time in 14 years, followed by a 47-show tour of the UK, North America, Europe, and the UK only... This is a remastered CD release of a rare live archive of Genesis' first live program recorded and broadcast for TV and radio during Peter Gabriel's tenure in the band's golden era. The band made a dramatic leap forward with the addition of new members Steve Hackett and Phil Collins, and their 1971 album "Nursery Cryme" was a big seller in their native England as well as in many European countries. As a result, the band actively promoted and played concerts in many European countries.As part of the project, the band played a studio show on March 20, 1972 at a Belgian TV station, and now the original recordings have been discovered. Here, the band performs three songs from "Nursery Cryme" as well as songs not included on the album. The following year, 1973, the band released "Foxtrot," their first album to chart at No. 12 in the UK. To promote this album, the band played a live show at Le Bataclan in Paris on January 10 of the same year for a radio program. This is a rare archive of the most theatrical progressive rock performance of Genesis during Peter Gabriel's tenure!
