The latest & world's first LP reissue from TSG, the pinnacle of rare groove music, with a unique background unique to the TAX SCAM (tax measures) label! The album contains high quality tracks from pop & sweet soul numbers to groovy funk tunes, but the selection is not consistent...and the jacket visual is made from the same material used for other albums...what would you call this without calling it "Rare Groove"! This is one of the top-rated releases from TSG, which has a mysterious catalog worthy of being called a "hidden gem." The album features the light pop soul "Stone Out Of Your Mind" (M1), "When I Met You At The Circus" (M3), the sweet and mellow soul number "Patience" (M4), and the "Rare Groove" (M5). Patience" (M2), "Rich Man Alone" (M8), and groovy funk tunes like "The Music Of Your Mind" (M5) and "Like I Do" (M7). However, the lack of unity may be due in large part to the label's origins as a label.The two songs (M5) and (M7) were cut as a single in 1974 under a different name, The 3rd World, with a label credit of BLACK TOP RECORDS (different from the Scott Brothers' famous blues/R&B label), and the cover photo of "At The Organ" by Jimmy McGriff, the master of SOUL JAZZ, was used in reverse. There are still some mysteries that have yet to be solved, such as the fact that the cover photo of the famous "At The Organ" album by Jimmy McGriff is used in reverse. The album has been digitally remastered and reissued on LP for the first time in the world!
