Jamaican female singer Jennifer Lara's 1985 album titled "Weekend Loving," a superb mellow medium, is now available on CD as a Japan exclusive! Jamaica's famed Studio One diva Jennifer Lara released the album Weekend Loving on Ossie Thomas' Black Solidarity label in 1985, and in February 2018 the album was reissued on vinyl only on the French Jamaican and Jamwax, a reissue label specializing in Caribbean music, which reissued the album on vinyl only in February 2018, has now released it on CD in Japan exclusively! The title track "Weekend Loving" is a masterpiece! The guitar playing in the background is also very pleasant. It is a superb mellow medium song recommended for lovers of rare groove and free soul. The funky "Big Surprise" and the cool lovers' rock cover of Bobby Womack & Patti LaBelle's extra strong duet "Love Has Come Finally At Last" are also great. A perfect blend of boogie funk, roots reggae and lovers rock! The comical jacket is also great.Joined by Style Scott (ds) and others from the Roots Radics - Dub Syndicate.
