Record Producer Hiro Isaka (from the booklet) Up-and-coming vocalist Ayako Suzuki has completed an album of vocal works by British and Japanese composers/poets of the 20th and 21st centuries: B. Britten/W. H. Auden, T. Ades/T. S. Eliot, Akira Miyoshi/Kuretori Yamamura, Akira Nishimura/Hagiwara Sakutaro, and Hirofumi Mogi/Soseki Natsume. Ayako Suzuki (soprano) was born in Mexico City. Spent her childhood in the United States. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music, majoring in voice. Completed the master's and doctoral programs at Tokyo College of Music. D. thesis, "Japanese Songs by Yamada Kosaku, Betsumiya Sadao, and Ikuma Dan: An Analytical Study Based on Accent Theory. During her studies, she received a scholarship from the university.She also received a study abroad grant to study at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, where she received her diploma under the guidance of Ms. Anna Tomova Sintow. She won the second prize and the Hanna Prize in the General Section of the Japan Performers' Competition. She was selected for the Tokyo International Vocal Competition, the French Music Competition, and the Pan Pacific Contemporary Music Competition. Performed at the Tokyo International Art Association Newcomer's Concert. Performed two doctoral recitals of Japanese songs and the doctoral degree examination concert "Modern Japanese Songs: The Foundations laid by Kousaku Yamada". Performed in a special concert of Mouvement perpetuel, a research group for French vocal music. Performed the role of Shiho Kurata in the music play "The Star of Many Musics", reading, singing, and acting. Recorded English and French versions of the main theme of the picture book "The Music of the Stars. Attended the 39th Kusatsu Summer International Music Academy as a scholarship student of the Toyama Foundation, and performed in the Student Concert for voice and flute classes under the guidance of Gemma Bertagnolli, and in the Fall Student Concert.She has studied voice under Yoshiaki Shinozaki, Michiko Ichikawa, Yuko Kamahora, Shigehiro Sano, Takanori Akiyama, Mari Midorikawa, chorepetitore under Shigeko Taniike, and thesis instruction under Noriko Sakazaki and Midori Takeishi. Currently, she is a specially-appointed researcher at the Tokyo College of Music. Camerata Tokyo
