The 7th Sendai International Music Competition was held in June 2019. The prize-winning recital and commemorative recording, which would normally have taken place the following year, was postponed several times due to the Corona disaster and was realized in September 2010. The highest violin prize winner, Shannon Lee, recorded the recital in advance of her recitals in Tokyo and Sendai, and performed a superbly crafted program including a solo piece that is extremely difficult to play. Shannon Lee won the 2nd Prize in the Violin Section of the 7th Sendai International Music Competition, the 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the 7th Sendai International Music Competition, the 4th Prize at the Queen Elizabeth International Music Competition, the 2nd Prize at the Naumburg International Violin Competition, the 1st Prize at the Isaac Stern Competition in Shanghai, the 2nd Prize at the Indianapolis International Violin Competition, and the 2nd Prize at the Indianapolis International Violin Competition. She has won prizes at numerous international competitions, including the Indianapolis International Violin Competition and the Ysaÿe Sonata Prize. She has also received support from the Silva Gelber Foundation of Canada. As a soloist, she has performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Belgium, and the New York String Ensemble at Carnegie Hall.He has appeared as a chamber musician with Creative Dialogue France, Cusijoba Music Festival, Menlo Chamber Music Festival, Angel Fire Music Festival, and Heifetz International Music Festival. He was born in Canada. She began playing violin at the age of four in Plaino, Texas. At the age of 12, she made her debut as a soloist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Two years later, she performed in Germany with the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Christoph Prick, and in 2008, with Pamela Mia Paul on piano, she released a CD of works from the 1920s entitled "Introducing Shannon Lee" on Terraque International. She is currently an artist at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music. He is currently enrolled in the artist program at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Vera Bess. Previously, she was the first Mary Hamlin Memorial President's Scholar and a Stalin Foundation Scholar at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Jaime Laredo and Jan Sloman.He received his diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music (Philadelphia), where he studied with Ida Cavafian and Arnold Steinhardt. She was a Curtis Artist Year Fellow under the direction of Mary Jayvian and completed fellowships in music education at Crump Elementary School and the National Student Orchestra. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University. Fontec.
