Repulse Shallow Levee, a Taiwanese indie pop band in the spotlight, has released its long-awaited first album. The influences that the band has received little by little over the years as they travel back and forth between their hometown of Kaohsiung, in the southern tip of Taiwan, with its peaceful atmosphere, and Taipei, in the northern tip of Taiwan, where work and life are hectic on a daily basis, have become ideas that are expressed in the lyrics and melodies of the current album. Shallow Levee has experienced member changes and a busy touring life as a band, and has been struggling with unanswered conflicts. 10 questions directed at the ever-changing world, and the passion to warmly stand by those who continue to walk toward the answers, are contained in each of the 10 songs on their first album.
