Description:
Ishida-gumi, led by the charismatic violinist Yasunao Ishida, is now opening a new chapter in its history. The string ensemble "Ishida-gumi" was planned and formed in 2014 by Yasunao Ishida, a concert master of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble has wowed audiences at Suntory Hall for four consecutive years until last year, and has toured more than 20 venues in Japan during its 2022/2023 tour. The 2023/2024 national tour, which will start with this album, is scheduled to include more performances than last season, and the number of fans is rapidly increasing for their passionate performances of masterpieces that transcend genres with their outstanding technique. This classical ensemble is one of the most interesting groups in the world today. The "Ishida-gumi" is a group of Japan's best performers, carefully selected by Yasunao Ishida, a.k.a. "the group leader," to perform masterpieces from a wide range of genres, from classical to film music and rock. (C)RS
