Description:

The complete supplemental SHM-CD series of King Crimson's 2003 Japan Tour, including 6 world premiere CD releases! The third volume of this series is the world's first CD release of the first 3 days at Shinjuku Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan in Tokyo on April 15, 2003! The third volume of the new King Crimson Japan Tour Complementary Series is the first day of the 3-day show at the now defunct Shinjuku Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan in Tokyo. The world's first CD release of the original A-DAT multi-track data, mixed by Alex Mandy. Since this was the first day of three shows at the same venue, the opening song was not the standard opening song from the previous show "The Power to Believe I" leading into "Level 5" that has been performed since April 2003, but rather "The Construction," the same song that was performed in Matsumoto, Japan, during the US tour in March. The mix is well-balanced and the sound quality tends to be bright. In the latter half of the concert, "Dangerous Curve" and "Sun and Fear Part IV," the band almost lost their rhythm, perhaps due to the effects of the monitors, but they overcame the situation by brute force, which in turn created a sense of tension. The most famous performance of the 3 Days at Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan is the one on the 16th, which was released as a live CD "Electric" and DVD "Eyes Wide Open," but this day is also a must-see.Was the TV taping really only on the 16th? What did Robert really mean when he said after the 16th show that the second TV recording was a stronger performance than the first? The liner notes of the first two days of the 3 Days at Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan are also worth reading. The liner notes of the first two days at Kosei-Nenkin Kaikan are also in the spotlight! (permanently enclosed).
