To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the birth of this eternal idol (born on September 26, 1926), the Liberty label's paper-jacket collection (30 titles in total), which was released in 2010 and became a hit, is being reissued at a reduced price. A jazz vocal masterpiece in tribute to the famous composer Cole Porter. A collection of Cole Porter's works sung by Julie London. This album, the only one in which she sings only one composer's numbers, was planned and produced as a tribute album to Porter, who had passed away in the fall of 1964, the year before the recording was made. Porter's melodies, with their urban sophistication, are a perfect fit for Julie's repertoire. The excellent support of the combo led by Bud Shank also shines through on this album.
