The members are Rei Tsujimoto (Japan Philharmonic Soloist), Kanya Ich (NHK Symphony Orchestra), Ryosuke Moriyama (Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra), and Keita Takagi (Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra). The name "Explloce" is a combination of the word "explode" (explosion), meaning that the ensemble aims for explosive ensembles that do not fit into a box, and "explore" (exploration), meaning that the program incorporates aggressive genres, and "roche" (an industry term that is a play on the word cello).
