Takács String Quartet New Recording! Young Schubert and mature Schubert! The young Schubert, still in his teens, wrote the "String Quartet No. 8" in a short period of time between September 5 and 13, 1814. Surprisingly, he wrote that the first movement was completed in "four and a half hours. The first movement, "String Quartet No. 8," was surprisingly completed in "four and a half hours," but its high degree of perfection suggests that it was meticulously planned and written like the works of Mozart, whom Schubert admired. The last of Schubert's string quartets, "No. 15," was also written in only 11 days. This work was also written in only 11 days. The "No. 15" was never performed in its entirety during Schubert's lifetime. The ambitious style of this work, however, makes it a worthy representative of Schubert's chamber music, which also shows the influence of Beethoven.The Takács String Quartet was founded in 1975 by Gábor Takács-Názi, a student at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, and others.
