Idylle Billet, a virtuoso musician born in 1941, just recorded in 2018 and 2019, her latest album is a collection of Debussy's works. The album features a wide range of works from classical to contemporary, including "Images," a work representative of Impressionism; "Preludes, Vol. 1," with its diverse tones achieved through exquisite pedal work; "Exercises," in which Billette's mastery of superb technique shines through; "Later than Lent" and "Island of Joy," with their unique, rugged and interesting expressions that are typical of Billette; and "The Her approach to a wide range of works from classical to contemporary music shines through, as is typical of her familiarity with works from various periods.
