The previously unreleased live LP by Brinsley Schwartz led by Nick Lowe (independently produced by Ian Gomm), which was suddenly released on Record Store Day last year and sold out immediately, is now available on CD.This is a live album recorded at a concert in Cardiff on June 19, 1974, one month before the release of "New Favourites of Brinsley Schwartz", the last album by Brinsley Schwartz produced by Dave Edmonds. The album includes the classic songs "Peace, Love and Understanding," "Small Town Big City," "Tryin' to Live My Life," and "The New Favourites," which have become more of a standard encore number at Elvis Costello concerts than originals from the New Favourites. The album also includes the well-known classics "Peace, Love and Understanding," "Try to Live My Life Without You," "Country Girl," "Hooked on Love," "Surrender to the Rhythm," Junior Walker's "Hip City," which is not included on the original album, Judy Clay & William Bell's "Private Number," and "The Rhythm of the City," which is not included on the original album, as well as "The Rhythm of the City. Private Number," "You're So Fine" by The Falcons, and a cover of "Honky Tonk" by Bobby Blue Bland. 13 songs in all.
