Description:

Previously unreleased live performance of Dylan's transition to electric guitar! This is the ignition point of rock history, right after the release of the masterpiece "Highway 61". Newly discovered master tapes recorded by poet A. Ginsberg. Bob Dylan's scheduled tour of Japan in April was cancelled due to the spread of the new corona infection. It was 55 years ago, in 1965, the year of his shocking transition from the prince of protest folk to rock. After the release of his historic masterpiece, "Highway 61," at the end of August, Dylan embarked on an exhaustive three-month live tour of the U.S. that lasted until the end of the year. The stage consisted of two parts: a solo recital and a band performance, which was groundbreaking at the time. In the first part of the solo performance, Dylan's creative energy has already exceeded the boundaries of protest songs, and he continues to produce new songs every day, including "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "City of Ruins," a song that showcases Dylan's brilliant poetry. The audience was listening to Dylan's verses with bated breath in the silence. The second part of the concert was a rock performance backed by R. Robertson, R. Danko, R. Manuel, and G. Hudson, who later became "The Band"! The tour is in its final stages, and the December 12 show in San Jose, California, marks the band's peak performance after three months of touring. The sound image is close and stable, and the telerecorded sound by Allen Ginsberg gives us a realistic picture of this historic show. The Japanese commentary on the situation of the time, episodes, and song titles is included on the inside cover. The cover uses a licensed photo by Getty Images Japan.
