Ronnie Théophile is one of the leading male singers from Guadeloupe, a French overseas department located in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. He is also known for his versatility as a lyricist/composer, dancer, and choreographer. In this work, released in 2021, his repertoire is centered on the island's familiar musical styles, such as bigin, mazurka, and zouk. Ronnie's voice, which is a richer version of Ralph Tamar's, is accompanied by charanga-like strings, accordion, percussion, and other acrostic instruments reminiscent of Maravois.
