Benoit Laurent is well versed in the oboe works of the late Baroque and Classical periods, and has an extensive discography on the Ricercar label. Together with "The 1750 Project," an up-and-coming group of musical friends from Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and other countries, he has launched a project to introduce unknown masterpieces in connection with famous works, shedding light on the period of Baroque music from 1720 to 1750, which is considered to be the best period of Baroque music. The first of these projects is the "Baroque Music of 1726". The first of these programs focuses on the music of Venice in 1726. Vivaldi was the greatest master in Venice at that time, and his "Trial of Harmony and Creativity," Op. 8, including "The Four Seasons," was a hit, and his operas were popular even in Paris, where they were staged. In addition, the musical world in Venice was filled with talented people from all over Italy, such as his brother San Martini from Milan and Porpora from Naples, who came and went.The musicians have also invited Perrine Doviller, an old-time singer who is on the rise, to give a performance of vocal works that are full of color and richness.
