The debut album by Antonirolami & Garozzi, a duo that has been active since 2013, is a collection of works by Rossini, the reigning opera composer of the 18th and 19th centuries, who composed many variations and fantasias for instrumental music based on popular operatic melodies. The most popular themes were those of Rossini, the reigning opera composer. His lilting melodies were beautifully transformed by various composers and played on violin, flute, and cello. This album includes works by Moscheles, Kummer, and Offenbach, all of whom were Rossini's contemporaries, as well as 20th century works by Martinů, Tedesco, and Rossini himself.
