ATLANTIS DRIVE's debut album features one of the best vocalists in the European metal scene, Mark Boals, shifting his focus to melodic hard rock! ATLANTIS DRIVE, a melodic hard rock band featuring legendary singer Mark Boals (RING OF FIRE, SHININGBLACK, Ingvay Malmsteen), will debut in 2024! The band was formed by German guitarist Markus Pfeffer with the nostalgic goal of celebrating and reviving the melodic rock of the 80s. In addition to Mark, the band consists of Marcus on guitar and bass, French keyboard player Joris Guilbeau, and drummer Marcus Kuhlmann, who has extensive experience with Glenn Hughes and SINNER. Mark Boles has been praised as one of the best vocalists in the power metal scene, but this is probably the first time he has joined a full-fledged melodic hard rock band, and the result is an album full of incredibly catchy, hook-laden, melodic numbers.Although Mark has sung melodic rock numbers in numerous projects, this is probably the first time he has worked with a full-fledged melodic rock band. Marcus and Yoris wrote the music for the album, while Mark wrote all the lyrics. Along with the music, the lyrical themes are also interesting. Way Back When," a nostalgic reminiscence; "Faith," about trust in oneself; "Time," about the finitude of the self; "Curtain Falls;" "Medusa Smile," about betrayal; and the epic 8.5-minute number "Heroes," which closes out the album, in which Mark expresses his own The final song, "Heroes," is an epic eight-and-a-half-minute number that covers a wide range of topics, including a reflection on the musical heroes that have influenced him over the years. The Japanese version of the album includes three instrumental bonus tracks from the album!
